Terrapin Roadshow at the Bruns? What’s the story?

This is a special one – Terrapin Nation coming together at a tiny amphitheater on protected watershed, in the hills outside Berkeley. The venue is an intimate concert bowl amid beautiful eucalyptus and redwood groves, with picnic tables, pop-up live music, and fun, colorful craft venders.

What’s the timeline each day?

Each day will have three full sets of music. Doors will open two hours before the mainstage starts, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy the festival vibe.

Saturday will be 5pm doors, with mainstage music starting at 7pm.

Sunday will be 1pm doors, with mainstage music starting at 3pm.

How does seating work?

Most of the seating is general admission. The lower half of the concert bowl is standing GA, and the upper half is seated GA. No outside chairs are allowed in. Blankets are OK for the standing area.

There’s a limited number of premium reserved seats. These are the first few rows in the center of the upper bowl, looking at the band right over top of the standing people.

How does parking work?

Parking will be $20 per car in advance, or $25 day of show. Day of show purchase will be cash or Venmo only. Purchase in advance and save money!

Some of the parking spots are right by the venue, and some are in a parking lot a couple of minutes away. There’ll be a shuttle to bring people from the further parking over to the venue.

If you purchase a premium reserved ticket, you’re guaranteed parking in the closer lot.

If you purchase a GA ticket, which parking lot you land in will depend on how the flow goes –

It’s not possible to reserve a spot in one or the other.

What about kids.

We love kids. Kids 10 and under are free.

Are outside food and drink allowed?

Outside food and drink are not allowed. Empty water bottles will be allowed in, with water filling stations onsite. There is a café onsite, and there’ll be beer and wine for purchase.

I haven’t been to the Bruns before – what’s it like?

The Bruns is a beautiful, intimate outdoor amphitheater in the east bay hills. Park right off Highway 24 and walk a few minutes up a path to find yourself in a magical venue in a hidden spot on protected watershed. It’s usually very hot during the day, and very cold at night - come prepared!

An outdoor show in the hills in the summer? Sounds like smoking would be a fire hazard?

You’re exactly right. The venue has provided a smoking section in the central plaza, so please be use it and be conscious and safe.

No pets allowed.
